Video & pictures: What would you do if you won €175 million - Echo Live

Six sisters from Meath are the winners of the €175m EuroMillions jackpot scooped up in Tuesday's draw.

The golden ticket was purchased in Reilly's Daybreak in Naul, North County Dublin. The shop will receive a €25,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

The €175m EuroMillions Jackpot is Ireland's highest ever National Lottery winner and is the 14th Irish EuroMillions winning ticket since the game began in Ireland in 2004.

The winning numbers were 1, 8, 18, 19 and 39. The Lucky Stars were 7 and 9.

The six winners are originally from Duleek in Co Meath with some members living in north county Dublin.

One of the sisters called into the Lotto office Wednesday morning and was described as "surprisingly calm" and "very together".

It is understood the six women meet up every Sunday at their late mother's house to play the lottery and have been doing so for years.

Their mother passed away over a year ago but they kept up their lotto tradition. SPlit equally the sisters will receive €29.1m each.

Lottery spokesman Miriam Donohoe said there was great excitement over the win.

Previous EuroMillions winners in Ireland include Dolores McNamara from Limerick, who won €115m in 2005.

The next biggest jackpot was a €93m share of a €187m jackpot in 2013 won by a EuroMillions player in Beaumont, Dublin.

Then in 2014, another Dublin winner walked away with €86.7m. The ticket was sold in Centra, Ballybrack, Co Dublin.

Another giant jackpot of €88.5m was snapped up in Dublin in 2017. A work syndicate claimed the cash prize and the ticket was sold in Applegreen Service Station on the M1 Northbound in Lusk, Co Dublin.

Back in 2016, a syndicate of friends won over €66 million, splitting the jackpot of €132,376,632. The ticket was sold in Eason's store, Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow.

Other wins include 22 colleagues from Dublin Bus who won €23.8 million, a family syndicate who won a €29.4m share of a EuroMillions jackpot and a syndicate from the West of Ireland who won €29m while another family syndicate in Dublin won €38.9m.

I would pay off my debts, get a place in the sun and go fishing and drink some margaritas. I could retire the wife as well. I wouldn't tell anyone though because of the Celtic Tiger kidnappings, although it would be hard to keep it to yourself. I wouldn't buy a new car though. It wouldn't change my lifestyle much and I wouldn't leave Cork, my family is here.

I wouldn't do anything. Who needs that much money? I'm already retired and I'm not worried about money. I would look after the family, but that is an obscene amount of money. I definitely wouldn't leave Cork and I wouldn't tell anyone. You wouldn't get a moment's peace.

The first thing I would do is take my daughter to Disneyland. We went for her third birthday and she loved it so definitely I would do that. I would give a substantial chunk to Chernobyl Children International. I go out to them twice a year and work with them so I would definitely give something to them. I wouldn't leave Cork though. I love Cork. Maybe get a sun home!

I would buy a house and go on a world trip for a year with a few friends. I would give a bit to charity and I would go out a lot. I work in the arts and would give some to the development of art as well.

I would pay off debts and buy a house.I would tell close friends and family and buy them whatever they wanted. I work in Art so I would put money towards providing art spaces for people and making art more accessible. I think I would travel a lot. I would leave Cork for a few years, but then I would come back.

I think the key is dream big and spend big. I would look after my family, and the grandchildren and I would give some back to the city. I love the city. I come in every day and walk around it, I love the architecture, it is gorgeous. I've no interest in a new car, but I might take a sun holiday and give some to Cork Simon for the work they do with the homeless.
