DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Gov. Kim Reynolds will deliver her annual Condition of the State address during the evening this year in a break with its normal mid-morning scheduling.
The address, made to a joint session of the Iowa House and Senate, will take place on Tuesday, January 12, at 6:00 p.m. The speech, similar to the U.S. president’s State of the Union address, discusses the governor’s assessment of affairs in the state and their agenda for the coming year.
In past years, the speech typically took place in the morning. No indication was given in the announcement of the address for the change.
