Syracuse, N.Y. -- A 29-year-old woman is in critical condition Thursday after being shot in the head outside of a corner store, according to Syracuse police.
At 7:13 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Burt Street and Oakwood Avenue for a reported shooting with injuries, police said.
They found the woman outside Hub Liquor Store, and she was taken to Upstate University Hospital, according to police.
Police closed down the intersection on Thursday night as they look for evidence. Several evidence markers had been placed on the ground and it appeared officers were looking for shell casings.
