A man who is suspected of driving drunk is in critical condition after police say he caused a crash that killed three people in Pleasant Grove early Sunday.
The driver, a 24-year-old man whose name has not been released, had been going north about 2:45 a.m. in the 500 block of South Masters Drive, at Old Seagoville Road, when he collided with a vehicle that was turning to go east.
His vehicle rolled into a grassy area, and the crash sent the other vehicle onto the sidewalk, police said.
The driver, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, was taken to a hospital and is facing three counts of intoxication manslaughter, police said.
A passenger in his vehicle and two people in the other vehicle died at the scene.
Police did not release names or ages of the victims but said they were all males.
