Our research funding by condition
Through our commitment to beating heartbreak from all heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors, we fund research into many different conditions.
We currently support around £446m of research projects across 47 institutions in the UK to better understand, prevent, and treat heart and circulatory diseases. Just over half of our current research portfolio fit within conditions listed below. The rest are focused on conditions not listed and encompass broad research areas or support multiple projects (Accelerator awards, BHF Professors, BHF Centres of Research Excellence, Infrastructure grants and Strategic initiatives).
