A man remains in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Thursday night as he attempted to cross all four lanes of Hackensack's South River Street.
The 56-year-old man was crossing the street at 8:44 p.m. just below the intersection of Moonachie Road when a vehicle swerved to avoid hitting him, police said Friday morning.
Unfortunately, a Jeep that was driving on South River Street in the same direction collided with the man, causing "head trauma" to the victim, police said.
