A man is in critical condition after being shot in Phoenix on Saturday, Phoenix police officials said.
Around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a call regarding a shooting in a park near 17th and Missouri avenues, a press release from Phoenix police said.
Officers found a man in the area with a life-threatening gun shot wound, and he was taken to a hospital, the release said. Officers later arrested the suspect near West Alice Avenue and North Black Canyon Highway access road.
Upon further investigation, officers learned the man and the suspect, who police have not identified, were involved in drug activity, the release stated.
The investigation is ongoing.
