SAN ANTONIO – A man is being treated in a hospital for multiple gunshots wounds that he suffered during a run-in with a masked man outside his home early Monday.
San Antonio police say the man, who is in his 30s, was shot three times.
He told officers he had gone outside his home, located in the 1200 block of Edison Drive, to investigate a noise he heard near his truck around 12:30 a.m.
Police say a masked gunman confronted him there, demanding to see the victim’s son.
However, they say the victim did not speak English and was unable to understand the gunman’s demands.
The gunman then shot him and took off before officers arrived.
Police searched the area but did not find him.
The victim was in serious condition as he left for a hospital in an ambulance.
