Chelan County commissioners has set a September 7th public hearing as part of the process to correct errors in the recently passed Short Term Rental code.
Conflicting elements in the code were discovered when staff was reviewing the ordinance. A one year grace period for noise, occupancy, trespass and residency standards was in the code, delaying the implementation, however that was not intended by the board.
“We want to make sure folks have the opportunity to provide an input on that before the board makes a decision on how to address those particular elements,” said Commissioner Kevin Overbay.
The implementation of the code is set to take effect in September.
