El Salvador’s government finished a first draft of constitutional changes that include extending the presidential term from five to six years, Vice President Felix Ulloa said Wednesday in an interview on local radio.
The reforms include 215 changes to the constitution and will be presented to the public and diplomatic corps next week. President Nayib Bukele will review the reforms in September and they will then be presented to the legislative assembly, Ulloa said.
