A man in northwestern Wisconsin was shot by police after he allegedly pointed a gun at an officer during a standoff Wednesday.
According to the Barron County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call for a welfare check for a white man in Mikana, Wisconsin, after he made a threat to a person who lived nearby. Upon arrival, deputies found the man barricaded in a room with a firearm.
