LORAIN, Ohio — Police are searching for a person of interest after a man was critically wounded Sunday in a shooting, police say.
Officers were called to Mercy Hospital and to the BP station at the corner of Broadway Avenue and East 28th Street at about 4:30 p.m. Police say the 23-year-old victim likely was shot at the gas station, then drove himself to Mercy Hospital.
The victim was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening wounds, according to police. The identity of the victim was not released.
Police say they are searching for a male who was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt. Anyone with information can contact detectives at 440-204-2105.
