FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – A man is in critical condition after being shot at the Traveler's Inn off of E. Washington Blvd. early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday. Police say they received call of shots being fired. When officers got to the scene they found the victim in the first floor hallway.
FWPD says the man was shot in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition where his condition worsened to life-threatening.
Investigators believe the victim was originally on a second floor balcony and someone fired multiple shots from the parking lot of the Traveler's Inn. Police interviewed motel guests and say they are reviewing surveillance footage.
No word yet on any possible suspects. Police are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-786.
