FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - One woman has life-threatening injuries after a car crash Friday night.
Police confirm with Fort Wayne's NBC News a crash on Washington Center Road and Lima Road just after 11:30 p.m. Friday night.
Police say one officer was on drunk driving patrol when they were in pursuit of one vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed.
Officers say they stopped their pursuit because they couldn't catch up to the driver. Police say they continued on Lima Road and found the crash on Washington Center Road and Lima Road.
Officers say the vehicle they were chasing jumped a curb on the Washington Center side, going airborne and struck another vehicle sitting at the light.
They have one male in custody and Police say they believe alcohol was a factor in this crash.
Washington Center Road will be closed for the next couple hours.
