Vallejo shooting leaves Richmond woman in grave condition - East Bay Times

VALLEJO — A 21-year-old Richmond woman  shot here Thursday evening remained in grave condition Saturday, authorities said.

The shooting was initially reported at about 5:36 p.m. in the area of the 3600 block of Georgia Street.  As officers responded they were told the woman was in a vehicle a few blocks away in the 100 block of Cottonwood Drive where she was found unconscious with at least one gunshot wound.

She was transported to a hospital.

Authorities believe the woman was in Vallejo to visit friends.

A motive for the shooting has not been released yet and no arrests have been announced.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Vallejo police Det. Yates at 707-648-4533.
