KALAMAZOO, MI - Two people are in critical condition after a head-on crash that took place Saturday evening in Kalamazoo, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Officers responded around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 to the intersection of S Burdick Street and Millview Avenue for a report of a head-on crash. One occupant from each vehicle involved was “critically injured” and needed to be removed from the cars by officers. Both are still listed as critical at a local hospital as of Saturday, according to the release.
S. Burdick Street was shut down for roughly three hours while KDPS helped treat the injured and process the scene. One of the drivers also had “significant injuries” but was able to remove himself from the car. He is still receiving treatment but is listed in stable condition, according to the release.
