
TOPPENISH, Wash. — The Toppenish Police Department is investigating an assault that left a 17-year-old girl in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.
Police say they were notified of an assault between two teenagers Wednesday morning.
Investigators say a 17-year-old girl was thrown to the ground, hitting the cement sidewalk.

After receiving care by school nurses, the 17-year-old’s family brought her to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
The Toppenish Police Department says the girl had to be transported to Harborview Medical Center after her health declined.
Police say they have interviewed the other teenager involved in the assault as well as some who saw the incident unfold.
