DEDHAM, Mass. — A 17-year-old teen is in critical condition after being pulled from an in-ground pool at a Dedham home early Sunday morning, police said.
The Dedham teen was sent by ambulance to a Boston hospital following the incident.
Emergency crews responded to the back yard of a home on Netta Road around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting an unresponsive male and a possible drowning.
When police arrived, they found bystanders performing CPR on the victim. First responders also tried emergency measures and then sent the teen to a Boston hospital.
Police said a graduation party was taking place at the home when the incident occurred.
An investigation into what led the teen to become submerged in the pool is ongoing, police said.
Support is being made available to members of the Dedham Public Schools community, police said.
