BOSTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Michigan State Police trooper was hospitalized in critical condition after a two-car crash Friday night in Boston Township.
Ionia County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the officer was rescued from his police cruiser around 10 p.m. on Grand River Avenue before being flown via AeroMed to the hospital.
Dispatch say the trooper was driving Westbound in his cruiser on Grand River when he was hit by a female driver heading Eastbound. The driver is confirmed to be a 28-year-old female from Utah, both the driver and trooper are in critical condition.
The crash is still under investigation.
