Deputies say a Tompkins County woman is in critical condition after being stabbed by her boyfriend.
The violent incident was described by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office in a media release.
It happened around 6 a.m. on Saturday at the Hanshaw Village Mobile Home Park in Dryden.
Deputies reported that a woman was found with multiple stab wounds. They rendered life-saving aid to the woman until an ambulance arrived.
She was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where she remains in critical condition.
A neighbor helped the woman escape the home, according to deputies. But the boyfriend was still inside when they arrived. He ultimately surrendered.
Deputies say that the male was treated at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. The names of those involved are being withheld at this time.
