A 20-year-old man is in serious condition after he was shot on the south side of Opelousas.
Opelousas Police were called at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to a disturbance near Hall and Fern streets, near Park Avenue. Officers found a man who had been shot multiple times, the department said in a Facebook post.
The victim was unable to tell officers about the person who shot him, police said. He was taken to a local hospital where he is in serious condition. He is expected to recover, said spokesman Maj. Mark Guidry
No other details were released about the victim.
