CLEVELAND, Ohio— A 12-year-old girl is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to her back, according to Cleveland EMS.

The girl was found about 3:30 a.m. Thursday in a car on Interstate 90 between the West 25th and West 44th Street exits, an EMS supervisor said.

An ambulance took her to MetroHealth. Cleveland police have not provided any information on the shooting, including where the shooting happened.

Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said more information would be released later on Thursday.
