COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a car on Immokalee Road on Thursday morning.
The crash happened at Immokalee Road and Oil Well Road just before 7:15 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol said the teenager got out of a car stopped in traffic in the southbound lanes of Immokalee Road and started walking toward the left turn lane.
The teenager walked into the path of a 28-year-old woman’s SUV driving in the left turn lane and was hit.
The boy was taken to Naples Community Hospital in critical condition.
No further information was immediately available.
