OAKLAND — A 41-year-old Berkeley man was in grave condition after he was shot Wednesday night in North Oakland, authorities said.
His name has not been released by police.
The man was found shot at about 6:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of Los Angeles Street by officers responding to a ShotSpotter activation. The man was taken to a hospital.
Numerous shell casings were found in the area, which is a primarily residential neighborhood.
Police have not yet said what they believe the man was doing in Oakland and have not yet released a motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
