FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Fort Wayne police and other emergency personnel received a call Wednesday night around 8:25 from the Centennial Townhomes complex about some kind of medical situation involving 2 children.
Crews arrived in the 7900 block of Serenity Drive on the city's southeast side.
They tell Fort Wayne's NBC News that 2 children got into their parents' medicine and ended up in life-threatening condition.
Police say they didn't know what kind of medicine may have been ingested and went ahead and used Narcan on the children.
Narcan is typically used by paramedics in case of known or suspected opioid overdoses.
Paramedics administered CPR and rushed the children to the hospital.
