Some 4,975 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Israel on Saturday, with 679 patients in serious condition, according to a Sunday morning update by the Health Ministry.
Only 5.76% of tests returned positive results, a noticeably drop from Friday's 6.91%. This is due to the comparatively low amount of only 87,744 tests conducted on Saturday.
The death toll has risen to 7,154.
