YPSILANTI TWP., MI – A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in the head by a friend while he and two others were hanging out on Monday, police said.

Police and rescue crews were called at about 3:30 a.m. May 31, to a home in the 7000 block of Bunton Road in Ypsilanti Township for a reported shooting involving several teenagers, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Four teens, all 17, were at the home when one of the teens pulled out a handgun and a single shot was fired, striking one of the teens in the head, police said.
