ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The dog that was horrifically beaten on camera in Ross Township is in stable condition.
The video showed a man in his 20s wearing a white hoodie, dark sweatpants and a goatee choking, slamming and then repeatedly punching a small white dog, police said.
The dog was taken to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, and it appeared to be in stable condition and “good spirits.”
Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh is assisting Ross Township Police in their ongoing investigation and released the following statement about the dog’s condition:
“The dog is receiving continued care and currently in stable condition. HARP is appreciative of the interest in the possible adoption of this dog. Due to pending legal cases that may result, he is not available at this time. However, we have a number of animals currently available for adoption.”
