ENTERPRISE, Fla. — A security guard at a Florida orphanage is fighting for his life after he was attacked by a 14-year-old, officials said.
Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said a 14-year-old boy punched the security guard who was working at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home. The attack left the man fighting for his life in critical condition
“He was punched in the head multiple times,” according to Chitwood.
Deputies arrested the 14-year-old. He faces a charge of aggravated battery on a uniformed security officer.
The identity of the security guard or the boy have not been released.
