Bemidji Police say they received a report of several gunshots inside a building on Ridgeway Avenue NW at about 9:30 p.m. Officers did not find anything initially, but were then notified that a private party had brought a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Officers spoke to the juvenile, who was flown to a Fargo trauma center a short time later.
Police say the victim was not able to provide a description of the suspect. They say there does not appear to be any danger ot the public.
Bemidji Police Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call them at 218-333-9111. Detectives are working with witnesses and property owners to identify suspects.
