OAKLAND — A 35-year-old Citrus Heights man was in critical condition after he was shot multiple times in East Oakland Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Police said the man was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of 104th Avenue near International Boulevard at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday when someone began shooting at him from outside.
The shooter fled in a vehicle before police arrived and the wounded man was taken to a hospital.
Police are trying to determine why the man was in Oakland and why he was shot. No arrests have been made.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
