Man in critical condition after Oakland shooting - East Bay Times

OAKLAND — A 35-year-old Citrus Heights man was  in critical condition after he was shot multiple times in East Oakland Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Police said the man was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of 104th Avenue near International Boulevard at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday when someone began shooting at him from outside.

The shooter fled in a vehicle before police arrived and the wounded man was taken to a hospital.

Police are trying to determine why the man was in Oakland and why he was shot.  No arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
