George Scott, CPA, CGMA, has been reappointed to serve a second term as chair of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), the board’s sponsors announced.
Scott’s second and final term will conclude on Dec. 31, 2025; he began his first term at the start of 2016. A retired partner of Deloitte LLP, Scott served with the firm for more than 39 years.
Gila Bronner, CPA, has also been reappointed to serve a second and final term on the board. She is president of Bronner Group LLC, which provides consulting services to government agencies.
In October, FASAB celebrated its 30th anniversary as the standard setter for federal agency accounting. The board’s current priorities include work to improve the federal reporting model and facilitate implementation of a new lease accounting standard.
