WINSTED — A father of four boys from Winsted, who was critically injured Oct. 19 when he was ejected from his Subaru on Route 8 in Torrington, is improving.
Charles Northup, 48, was upgraded to stable condition at Waterbury Hospital, a spokesman said Tuesday.
Police are still investigating what caused his car to drift from the northbound lane near Exit 45 at about 3 a.m. Northup had been wearing a seat belt.
