KALAMAZOO, MI – One person is hospitalized and in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash in Kalamazoo early Saturday morning.
Police were dispatched to the crash at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, on the 4400 block of Portage Street, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Authorities found one of the motorists unconscious when they arrived at the scene, public safety officers said.
The injured motorist was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. The individual is in critical but stable condition, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. Drugs and/or alcohol appear to have been a factor in the crash, police said.
