A child sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car in Phoenix Saturday night, officials say.
Phoenix police spokeswoman Sgt. Ann Justus said the child was struck by a vehicle traveling north on 63rd Avenue near Osborn Road around 8 p.m.
The child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with officers, according to Justus.
