Two teenagers are in critical condition after they were struck by a car Saturday night, Taylorsville police say.
The two children, who are about 14 years old, were out trick-or-treating when the incident occurred, Sgt. Ryan Carver of the Taylorsville Police Department said Sunday. Police received the call at 7 p.m. after a car traveling south struck the teenagers at a crosswalk at 2700 West near 6300 South in Taylorsville.
One of the teenagers was airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital and is considered in “extremely critical condition.” The other teenager is in critical but stable condition, and their injures are not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the car was not arrested, Carver said, and the investigation as to what contributed to the incident is ongoing.
