PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police say that two people were injured in two separate shootings in Northview Heights overnight.

Of the two men, one was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being shot in the head.

Just after midnight, police responded to a call of multiple shots fired in the 800 block of Mount Pleasant Road.

Officers were already in the area from an earlier shooting and quickly relocated – finding a man who had been shot in the head.

He is currently in the hospital in critical condition.

Earlier in the evening, police responded to another call for several shots fired around 9:15 p.m.

A short time after that, a man arrived at the hospital with several gunshot wounds, his condition is unknown.

Detectives from Pittsburgh Police’s Major Crimes Unit were at both scenes and are investigating.
