A woman was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon following a stabbing in Bristol Borough.
Police were called to the 700 block of Corson Street around 5:50 a.m. for a stabbing report. The 41-year-old woman was found with a stab wound to her stomach inside of an apartment.
The woman was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital’s Trauma Center by the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
Officer James Ellis found Dennis Chirskoy, 27, of Levittown, nearby with a bloody knife wound on his hand, police said.
Chirskoy, who was treated for the hand wound at Lower Bucks Hospital, was determined to be the suspect in stabbing and detained, police said.
Investigators were still trying to determine the relationship between the man and woman and what led up to the incident as of Saturday afternoon, police said.
Chirskoy was expected to be charged and arraigned later Saturday.
Bristol Township police assisted borough police at the scene.
