OAKLAND — A man shot Friday night in East Oakland was in critical condition Saturday, authorities said.
Police responding to a ShotSpotter alert found the man about 8:48 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of 89th Avenue near International Boulevard.
The man, who was unconscious, was taken to a hospital. Police have not said if he lived in the area.
Police have not released a motive in the shooting and have not announced any arrests.
Earlier in the day, a 56-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were also shot in East Oakland but found some blocks away from each other.
Police said the two were together in the 8400 block of International Boulevard at about 1:33 p.m. when they were wounded by stray bullets fired by someone in the area. The man was able to make it on his own to the 7300 block where he was found by police. The woman was able to make it to a nearby store and get help.
Both victims were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition, authorities said.
No motive has been determined in the shooting and no arrests have been made.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money in each shooting for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.
