FLINT, MI -- A girl is in critical condition after she was hit Sunday evening by a vehicle that left the scene in Flint, police said.
The crash took place shortly before 7:15 p.m. Sunday, May 2 on West Pierson Road near Dupont Street
An investigation into the incident revealed the victim, a juvenile girl, was crossing West Pierson Road on foot when she was hit by an unknown vehicle headed east, according to a Flint Police Department news release.
The suspect vehicle fled the scene, police said, and the driver was not identified.
The girl was transported to Hurley Medical Center and listed in critical condition, according to police. Her next of kin were contacted.
It is unclear if speed, alcohol or drugs were a factor in this crash.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
