Approved – First and final reading:
Resolution authorizing the City Manager and City Attorney to join the city of Greenville in a pending lawsuit out of Charleston County to recover unpaid Local Accommodations and Business License Taxes with respect to short-term rentals.
The lawsuit is designed to recover past due accommodations fees, accommodations taxes and business license taxes from several short-term rental companies — such as AirBNB.
Approved – First reading:
Ordinance to amend Article II, Chapter 21 of the Code of Ordinances to reduce the number of no-charge false alarms and to add an enhanced verification alarm requirement in some circumstances.
In a tweet, Greenville officials said that the police department responds to about 5,000 false alarms each year. The amendment would include a fine for repeat offenders.

Ordinance to convey surplus city property located on Woodside Avenue and Woodlawn Avenue to Genesis Homes for affordable housing.
Approved – First reading:
Ordinance to appropriate $3,638,380 in the Capital Projects Fund to recognize additional resources available for the Unity Park Project.
Moved to another agenda at a later date:
Ordinance to amend Section 19-4.3.2, Public and Institutional Uses, Section 19-4.3.3, Commercial Uses, Section 19-4.3.4, Service and Industrial Uses, and Table 19-4.1.2, Table of Uses, of the Code of Ordinances of the city of Greenville to modify use-specific standards after midnight (Z-8-2021).
Moved to another agenda at a later date:
Resolution to approve a development agreement between the City and Big Al, LLC, in furtherance of public improvements on Pendleton Street; and matters related thereto.
Mayor Knox White was absent from the council meeting to be with his family. The mayor welcomed a grandson on Monday, mayor pro tem Lillian Brock Flemming announced.
