The victim from Tuesday's shooting in Duluth's Central Hillside is in critical condition, according to an update from the Duluth Police Department.
The victim was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds after an incident at an apartment at Lake Avenue and West Fourth Street shortly after 2:40 p.m. Tuesday. Police have not yet identified the victim.
"We have determined it was not random and there is no danger to the public," police spokesperson Ingrid Hornibrook said in a statement Wednesday.
The police department's violent crimes unit is continuing to investigate the incident and is seeking the public's help with any information regarding the incident.
Officers are especially seeking footage from exterior cameras that were facing the location of Lake Avenue and West Fourth Street between the timeframe of 2 and 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. Those with information can call 218-730-5050.
