A woman is in critical condition after police say she was shot in her car in Phoenix Sunday.
According to Phoenix police spokeswoman Sgt. Ann Justus, the victim was shot in a vehicle near West Sonora Street Sunday afternoon.
Her husband tried to drive her to the nearest hospital and ended up flagging down a police officer near Central Avenue and McDowell Road.
The woman was transported to a hospital.
Police indicated that this was not a random shooting and the incident was still under investigation Sunday night.
