BREVARD COUNTY • PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, FLORIDA – The 45th Space Wing has decreased the Health Protection Condition (HPCON) from Charlie to Bravo.

As a part of this change, a new Public Health Directive and an updated Return to Work guidance have been issued and took effect on June 15, 2020.

These documents can be found following HERE.

Among the changes in the Public Health Directive #8 and Return to Work Guidance #3:

■ Non-mission essential personnel may choose to return to work on a limited basis, as commanders and directors may add up to approximately 50% of the unit’s non-mission essential personnel to the office.
■ At-risk personnel are strongly recommended to remain in their current status at this time.
■ Gatherings of up to 50 people do not require an exception to policy. Any gathering of over 50 people will require a waiver and attendees will need to physically distance. Face coverings are required at any event when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
■ Off-duty employment for military personnel may resume as long as the member has submitted a waiver through the appropriate approval channels and has received 45 SW/CC approval.
■ Civilian off-duty employment no longer requires additional approval.
■ Military members may still request and use leave with the following conditions: local leave (up to 150 miles from ■ Patrick AFB to include Jacksonville) can be approved at the Sq/CC level. Leave over 150 miles will still require 45 SW/CC approval.
■ Civilian leave will return to normal, pre-COVID leave procedures with supervisors being able to approve all kinds of civilian leave.

Any individual returning from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Louisiana or a foreign country must quarantine for 14 days and notify Public Health at 321-494-8292/8193 before returning to work.

This measure applies to all travel and to all personnel regardless of status (teleworking or in-office).

Cloth face coverings will still be required at locations on base where maintaining physical distancing is not able to be consistently maintained.

Face coverings are also highly recommended for travel to public places while off base.

Additionally, the base will begin to reopen certain facilities with some limitations on services and reduced hours. If you have questions, calling ahead to ask about specific restrictions is recommended.
