LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police responded to a stabbing near 10th and Garfield Street on Saturday at around 10 p.m.
According to LPD, three roommates had an argument, and two of the roommates wanted the third, a 42-year-old man, to leave. One of the roommates invited two other individuals to deliver the message to the third roommate.
LPD said the 42-year-old man, as a result of the argument, stabbed the roommate's friend in the neck.
According to officials, the roommate's friend, a 34-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in critical, but stable, condition.
The 42-year-old man was taken to the hospital for an injury to the leg caused by a piece of glass. It's unknown whether this injury was related to the stabbing incident.
LPD said the 42-year-old man will be charged with first degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon once he is released from the hospital.
