Coronavirus cases in Israel rise to 2,001, 34 in serious condition - The Jerusalem Post

The number of coronavirus infections in Israel rose again on Monday morning to 2,001, an increase of 7 from Sunday.
Some 34 people are in serious condition, and all 34 are intubated. Israel has so far suffered 285 deaths from coronavirus since the pandemic began.
In the past few days, more and more schools throughout Israel have reported cases of the coronavirus and sent dozens of students and teaching staff into quarantine. Schools in Givat Ze'ev, Kibbutz Tsor'a, Beersheba, Holon, Hod HaSharon and Jerusalem were among the schools to report cases in recent days.
At least three schools were closed on Monday after cases were confirmed among teachers and students.A school in Hadera was closed and 2,000 students entered quarantine after a student at the school was confirmed as infected with the coronavirus. The school plans to return to distance learning.
The Ofek School in Givat Ze'ev was closed after a teacher was confirmed as infected with the novel coronavirus. 278 students and 35 teachers entered quarantine.

A first-grader at the Har Tov school in Kibbutz Tsor'a was also confirmed as infected with the coronavirus on Monday. Students in her class, her teacher and six additional teachers entered quarantine.
Some 175 students and 13 teaching staff from a comprehensive school in Beersheba entered quarantine on Sunday after a student at the school was suspected of being infected with the coronavirus. 32 second-grade students, three teaching staff and 30 kindergartners from an elementary school in the city also entered quarantine on Sunday.
