WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI - A man suffered a heart attack in his boat while on Halfmoon Lake Wednesday night, officials said.
Paramedics responded to a report of a possible drowning at 9:18 p.m., June 24 at the lake located four miles west of the Pinckney Recreation Area, said Marc Breckenridge of Huron Valley Ambulance.
Despite the initial dispatch for a drowning, the boater in fact had suffered a heart attack in his boat and was transported in critical condition to the University of Michigan Hospital, Breckenridge said.
The Chelsea Area Fire Authority assisted on the scene. No further details were immediately available.
