Dallas police arrested a 29-year-old man after a shooting on Tuesday in Old East Dallas sent a man to the hospital in serious condition, police said.
Officers responded to the shooting call at about 9:40 p.m. in the 5900 block of Gaston Avenue, near Abrams Road, when they found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue.
The suspect, who police did not name, was still there when officers arrived and was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
The identity of the victim has not been released. Police did not provide any information about what led up to the shooting.
