Sen. Richard Shelby, an Alabama Republican, said Monday he won't seek another term next year. A former chairman of the appropriations committee, Shelby is an ex-Democrat who became a Republican in 1994. "Today I announce that I will not seek a seventh term in the United States Senate in 2022.
