HARTFORD — One person was hospitalized after Monday afternoon shooting, police said.

Patrol officers responded to the 80 block of Ashley Street on a ShotSpotter gunshot activation and found a crime scene, Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.

Not longer after officers arrived, they were notified that a male victim had been dropped off at a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds. Boisvert said the victim is in stable condition.

This is the third non-fatal shooting in 24 hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
